我院已建有各类实验室22个，可承担类化工生产装备的研发试验工作，是我国化工装备主要研发试验基地。平昀每年承担国家及行业重大科研项目40项左右，并取得了良好的经济与社会效益。主要的专业试验室有：橡塑机械、压缩机、粉体造粒、过滤、干燥、掺混、塔器、雾化燃烧器、流态化、电化学腐蚀、应力腐蚀、缓蚀剂、非金属材料及设备、金属材料、自动化控制、工业色谱、分析仪表、放射性检测仪表等。
